Grease Pencil - Global Fill and Stroke colors for non-pinned brushes

My GP drawings are always done in Paint Mode: Color Attribute (previously called Vertex Colors). Most have 3 materials defined: Stroke, Fill, and Stroke Fill.

The expected behaviour when I change the Stroke Color all materials that have "Stroke Surface" checked will use that color with the next thing drawn. If I select a new FILL color, change the FILL for all materials with "Fill Surface" checked. This would not change anything already drawn, as it would in Paint Mode: Material.

All brushes (Draw, Fill, Tint, Line, Circle...etc, Vertex Replace: Draw, Vertex Replace: Replace) would use these "global" stroke and fill colors IF that particular brush is not "pinned" to a specific color and material.

There are few things more annoying than switching over to the Draw brush to find that the fill color is a different color than the FILL tool and then having to remember the RGB values to set the Draw brush fill color.
