Curve modifier no deform option
When we try to arrange an object (with an array modifier) along a curve, the modifier automatically deforms the objects. It would be helpful to have an option that toggles deformation on and off.
I understand that not deforming objects can also be done through instancing, but it becomes hard when just about every time I use the modifier I have to create another plane and then instance the object on it. This would make sense a lot in architectural visualization, where it's not uncommon to arrange objects in a curve without deformation.

I do understand the need for some enhancements on the curve modifier, but in the meantime you can already do that, plus way more things using Geometry Nodes.
Here I quickly made a simple setup where you instance a given object on a curve, but you can also add some noise to the Z rotation and on the scale, also influence the shader if you wanted, ... And have it all controllable from the modifier list for easy user-friendly use and quick reusage on any other object you want. You can also use a collection as input.
