Light object should scale with their parents
I have a chanelier asset with point lights over every candle.
Originally this asset was used in a small restaurant scene and now I want to use it in a large castle hall scene so I want to scale it up to around 1.7. I'm using the asset as a linked collection instance
At this size the candle portions of the object engulfs the point lights. I have no choice but to make a different asset just for this scene.
If lights scaled up with their parent, it would not be perfect, but I think it would be better than the current behavior

I think light objects don't really have object scale. Their radius is a separate setting, and I think that's fine as it is. You can link the light radius with the parent's scale using drivers, if necessary.
light objects do scale with their parents. But sun and point lights have no dimensions to begin with, spot have no dimension on their emission origin but have a distance which I think does scale up.
Their position moves in relation to the scale of the parent but the actual size of the point light remains the same. A 0.02m radius point light is the same size when the parent is scaled to be 10x bigger
Maybe you should rewrite your proposal to be about linking point lights' radius to object scale then.
