Jump between keyframes in Tracking

When tracking footage, track points can become obstructed. Currently, resuming tracking after an obstruction requires manually repositioning the track point, which can be imprecise.

Proposed Features: Hotkeys for Frame Navigation:

  • PageUp: Jump backward to the closest keyed/tracked frame of the selected tracker.
  • PageDown: Jump forward to the closest keyed/tracked frame of the selected tracker.

Keyframe Matching: Ctrl+PageUp: Match the current keyframe to the closest tracked/keyed frame in the backward direction. Ctrl+PageDown: Match the current keyframe to the closest tracked/keyed frame in the forward direction.

It's streamline resuming tracking after obstructions. Ensures sub-pixel precision in repositioning track points. Also enhances the user experience with quick navigation and alignment. Thank you for considering this feature request.Proposed Features:

Hotkeys for Frame Navigation:

  • PageUp: Jump backward to the closest keyed/tracked frame of the selected tracker.
  • PageDown: Jump forward to the closest keyed/tracked frame of the selected tracker.

Automatic Keyframe Matching:

Ctrl+PageUp: Match the current keyframe to the closest tracked/keyed frame in the backward direction. Ctrl+PageDown: Match the current keyframe to the closest tracked/keyed frame in the forward direction. Benefits:

Efficiency: Streamlines resuming tracking after obstructions. Accuracy: Ensures sub-pixel precision in repositioning track points. Convenience: Enhances the user experience with quick navigation and alignment.

Currently I'm using this code and manually registering its functions as hotkeys when needed

import bpy

def jump_forward_to_closest_keyed_frame():
    current_frame = bpy.context.scene.frame_current
    for marker in bpy.context.space_data.clip.tracking.tracks.active.markers:
        if marker.frame > current_frame and not marker.mute:
            bpy.context.scene.frame_current = marker.frame
            break

def jump_backward_to_closest_keyed_frame():
    current_frame = bpy.context.scene.frame_current
    for marker in reversed(bpy.context.space_data.clip.tracking.tracks.active.markers):
        if marker.frame < current_frame and not marker.mute:
            bpy.context.scene.frame_current = marker.frame
            break

Addition: Function or option for above described function: hotkey for checking tracked accuracy, for example:

  • Jump back and forth between curent frame and keyframe to which this one wat matched.
  • compare between matched pattern and reference patterm by putting side by side preview in overlay for example
  • Checking accuracy off matched pattern by overlaying it onto reference pattern using ghost, ramp or difference overlay.

I remember blender has a hotkey for this

There is Ctrl-Shift-Left/Right that jumps between start and end of current tracked section of selected marker. Also there is Alt-Shift-Left/Right - I still don't understand it's behaviour Both of these are not the function that I suggesting.

Maybe I was wrong cauz the last time I make animation with blender was 2 years ago. I can't remember it clearly
