Shourtcuts representation and problem

So I now some people like and other don't like the new shortcuts, I'm not going to enter there. What I would like to point is a problem while showing the shortcut after leaving the mouse over the tool, and how this showed me new posibilities we could have.

<b>First problem:</b> Right now, 2.8 by default will be set with "left click" select, "spacebar" for play and with this we already run into a problem with the basic "Transform tool" (which shortcut is "spacebar + t"). So my first suggestion to avoid this will be to not set spacebar as play by default. Search is stil a great option for noobs and tools is also.

<b>Second:</b> All of the shortcuts are shown in capital letters while they are not, for example move is "g" but represented with "G" which brings you a completely diferent tool. So easy solution here would be represent the letter how it is.

<b>Third issue: </b>this time with the new tools in the new tab Here we have a weird behaviour from the shortcuts. While the rotation tool in the tab shows an "R" (forget the capital letter issue) when you press "r" this will give you the traditional behavior of rotate and not the new one from the tool itself. Some people will prefer the old rotate/scale/move and some others (like myself) will prefer the behavior from the toolbar, but! I came across with an idea and is mixing lowercase and uppercase shortcuts, lets say, example: "r" for tool "R" for traditional. Yes there are are some conflicts with "G" and "S" but aren't we all learning new shortcuts for 2.8?

<i>External example: This diference between lowercase and uppercase shortcuts is already present in some other programs like Lightwave 3D, with several options for a single letter like "a" "Ctrl + a" "Shift + a" that will give you diferent behavior for autofit.</i>

Hope this will a bring a bit more light into the shortcuts problems that everyone is not yet happy with.

This is probably just a bug, seems blender doesn't realise that you don't have space mapped to tools, you can do this by going to edit>preferences>keymap and then at the top you can change spacebar action to tools, this should solve your problem. Playback then becomes shift space, hope this helps.

This should probably be split into three separate proposals.

@Jason van Gumster: True, but since it's all related to shortcuts I made a single one.

@l.torrecilla: But they're not really related in terms of functionality. They're just related in the most superficial of ways. If you separate them, then people can discuss them and vote on them individually. For example, someone may agree with your idea about the use of <kbd>Spacebar</kbd>, but think your request to "correctly" capitalize hotkey hints is ridiculous. How should that person vote on this proposal in that case?

Capital letters in marking out the hotkeys for actions where never verbose as you have to press "shift" and "g" for a "G". That's just misunderstanding. If you don't see "Shift", you don't press "Shift".

But, About THE AMAZING SPACEBAR. Instead of giving it a function and be restricted to that singular function, why not use THE AMAZING SPACEBAR, as an extra modifier key? The extra number of key combinations can be an absolute gigantic edge over all other software in the market in terms of workflow fluidity(Gotta work fast, faster, fastest).
