Resize regions by dragging from an empty part of the header
It would be great to be able to resize a region by dragging an empty area of the header and moving the header up and down, instead of sharp-shooting the 1px divider line. I know it's a bit better in 2.8, but the header still provides a larger click area.

What do users do if they hide the header? Do they revert back to using the border?
@Jason van Gumster: Not really revert, border resizing would stay along with this.
@Diego Gangl: I'd be a little worried about misclicks accidentally resizing the area when the user didn't intend for that. Otherwise, though, I think it's worth trying.
@Jason van Gumster: True, we could start the drag after the user has dragged for 1/2 second or so to make sure it's really intentional
