Eevee, IrradianceVolume

Don't know maybe there is a better method to control irradiance, but when placing irradiancevolume in interior often dots hits some objects then some strange shadows occur. Maybe if there will be the possibility to disconect some dots will make controlling irradiance better.

When you bake the Irradiance Volume it behaves like a group of lights.

To do the trick:

  • Hide the objects that overlap to the dots.
  • Bake the probe.
  • Unhide the objects.

The hidden objects does not contribute to illumination but usually works fine.

Backface culling would also be nice as an option, it feels like it might be a better choice than outright disabling points. And of course, more performance.
