Radical Idea - Outliner Dropdown in the 3D Viewport Header
You can still user the Outliner Editor separately but I feel it could be convenient to have it as a dropdown menu in the 3D Viewport as well.

I think an integrated system for easily customizing and creating forms/radial menues and viewports without the need to code it would be a better solution here. That way everybody can customize the viewport in that way for their own liking and requirements. In that case for example, I can see the appeal of it for a few cases and in others I'd be annoyed if there way yet another icon for something that doesn't add too much for my own style of working. Bottom line: This seems like it would be a more personal costomization. As such I'd could imagine it being better to have easier access to making blender each user's own experience.
Excellent idea, clears as much 3D view as currently possible. It would be cool to make it a pop-up menu too, so you have it on screen for a few seconds, and without trying to catch this button in the header.
Rightclick or space or some other handy keystroke and you have the outliner in front of you. The same would also be nice for the properties panel.
Upvoted.
I'd put there modifiers dropdown too
I don`t feel it is good. For macromanagement you have collection-dropdown. For full management you need looong list. And if you want to switch list fast, you have view toggle.
