Enable disable masks in Sculpt mood!

I'm not sure if this feature exists, I cant find it, its very handy to disable masks rather than clear them, in some scenarios you need to edit the entire geometry while you are using masks.

Plus, what if we can make as many masks as we like and choose between them, just like vertex groups, I'm aware of sculpt mask data under geometry data, but it would be great to have something powerful like vertex groups for sculpt masks

In zbrush, if your object is uv mapped and you haven't done anything in sculpt mode that destroyed your uvs, you can paint a mask and save it to an image. Then you can load any image and turn it into a mask again.

Does anyone know if there's some major difference between masks and vertex groups that would prevent simply turning a mask into the weight painted values of a vertex group?

* @TheRedWaxPolice * That's just the visibility. I think OP wants to disable a mask, make a few unmasked changes, then bring back exactly the same changes.
