Going to Perspective when leaving the Current Camera view

When the current view of the 3D viewport is the scene camera and we do a rotation to get back to a free view of the scene we switch from Camera View to Perspective View, which is the most expected behavior.

But for some reasons, in some cases (not completely identified), we switch to Orthographic View.

This is annoying not only because we have to set up Perspective again but also because we loose the framing of the objects we were working on. Plus we do that very often during the day.

It would be far more convenient and intuitive to preserve the perspective mode from the camera (although not its lens probably) and have a smooth transition to a free view in the scene, with as much as possible the same framing.

There is this parameter in the Preferences \ Navigation \ Orbit and Pan \ called Auto that is supported to prevent a similar behavior when going from side views to Perspective.

It would be nice to have such an option for going to Camera View to Perspective View.
