Exclusive extrude for vertex and edge mode

Hello guys. I would like to propose a feature that will allow a user to exclusively extrude the selected areas depending on the selection mode they will choose. This will be added as an option in vertex and edge select mode.

Currently the software only focuses on face select and in order to achieve these proposed functions with the current program, a work around is available but the task might take a little longer.
