Include Scene Time Node in Shader Editor

The Scene Time node is currently in the compositor and geometry node editor, but is missing from the shader editor.

This is an odd inconsistency between the editors that has been an inconvenience when making time-based shader effects.

The proposal is to add the Scene Time node to the shader editor for consistency.

The node already exists, but needs to be ported. Scene Time Node.png

Agreed 100%, feels like a huge inconsistency. Having access to scene time would make animated materials significantly easier (and faster without drivers), especially for nodegroup assets.

Protip: If You wana have current frame just place "Value" node and type "#frame" in value field.

That is the current workaround, but you cannot copy it without the driver breaking.

Yes, thats why i upvoted :P.

I tent to leave that workarounds here because ppl sometimes search that function and end up here without knowing current workarounds.

Would bring more coherence and easy of use to the shader editor.

I will hug anyone implementing this proposal !!

Would definitely be nice to have a bunch of these data nodes accessible in shading.

My current way is to divide the "frame_current" by the "render.fps" attribute to get seconds, which aren't relying on any drivers.
