Loft Curve Node (Geometry Nodes)

Would be very handy to have a "Loft Curve" node in Geometry Nodes....

Some standard options of a loft node would be:

Ability to add Profile inputs, of course

Subdivisions

Start/End Caps

Cap Bevel

Cap segments

Interpolation

...

this seems like something that could be achieved with curves, maybe not the profile input. Not sure.

But regardless since we have hair geo-node setups pre-made in the asset browser now, maybe a premade geonode setup like this could be added as well!

The profile input is where you would plug the curves, like those circles for example. I'm calling it profiles because that's how it's called in other applications. Perhaps in blender it could be called just curves... 🤔

This just too high level for internal nodes. You can just make Curve to Mesh with some profile, and after this sample your own profile from curves to get positions to transform the shape..

Not really. If it was that high level other 3d software wouldn't have that node, but they do... This is an expected feature when dealing with curves/splines..
