Select > Collection (Group) to work on Multiple Objects / Collections

Sometimes I have a collection inside a collection. When I click to select the grouped selection it only selects what's inside.

If I select another object from the main collection and try to run the command it deselects the object that doesn't belong to the main collection. But the intention was to select both collections from the selected objects.

Wouldn't this be better if we could select multiple objects then group select the whole collection?
