Can AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) be added to Blender? Permissions: Commercial use, modification, distribution & private use
Can AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) be added to Blender as it came out 3 months ago and is open source. It should work with both NVidia and AMD cards as well.

But why? Working with a offline rendering engine can give you the benefit to get every pass and create quite good looking upscaling yourself. FSR is optimized for realtime rendering and is only using the final buffer to upscale the image. I dont understand why you want a arguable worse upscaler for a offline rendering software, If you want to upscale your image youre better suited doing in Post anyway with stuff like GigaPixel or so. If you really like to upscale your renderings with FSR you can already do it with a command line tool. github.com/GPUOpen-Effects/FidelityFX-CLI
for realtime playback - for upbge (game dev using blender guts!) for archvis in realtime :D
we have a new realtime engine on the way - EEVEE rewrite and realtime composition too !!
For viewport. I often force Blender into low resolution mode compared to the rest of my 4K interface. It’s not necessary to work in 4K and pushes your hardware more than you need to. This way, we could use a full resolution display with Blender and scale back the render resolution of Eevee itself. There’s been many times I’ve needed this when working in the viewport. Also, yeah this would be a killer app for UPBGE or anything real time.
