This saddens me, the Add blend mode allowed me to quickly add clean Motion Graphics and text overlays. I hope it get's put back in soon.... I now feel like I should have stuck with 2.8

Updates were made to the transparent BSDF that both made it closer to cycles, and made those blend modes unnecessary.
