MR modeling in Blender!
I have a dream of working in mixed reality. The challenge lies in the fact that all available options for modeling in virtual reality presuppose the use of controllers for model creation or sculpting. In practice, it feels more like a form of entertainment. I would prefer to stick to using a keyboard and mouse, while still being able to see my 3D model and the surrounding environment. EVEE rendering capabilities are sufficient for these tasks. I am strongly convinced that this is a crucial tool for industrial designers, as it allows visualizing the model in real sizes, observing real-time changes, and provides a uniquely immersive experience! I've found a workflow for this in Blender, but there are certain difficulties. I use Meta Quest 3 and the "Virtual Desktop" app. "VD" can eliminate a specific color and display video from HMD cameras. Consequently, you can create a green chroma key in your scene, placing your model in full mixed reality! HOWEVER! HMD cameras currently do not provide a clear view of the surroundings, making it challenging to work at the monitor through the HMD, where almost nothing is visible. Based on this, a question arises: Is it possible to develop a plugin or script that duplicates your monitor (Blender interface) in virtual reality mode on a plane? This would allow you to position it where the real monitor is by simply moving through the scene or adjusting the plane itself.
