Mantaflow - Make use of all available threads / cores on CPU during simulation calculations

There are already a few posts about using the GPU for mantaflow simulations which would be great... but if it is a quick fix it would be awesome to allow Mantaflow to use all the cores/threads available on the CPU. I have a 24 core ryzen and Mantaflow only really scratches the surface and uses just 24% of the available processing power on 4 cores. This is the same in other 8 core machines that I have tested mantaflow on.

The recent Cycles addition to 2.92 which uses both the CPU and GPU to render is so awesome, and having Mantaflow do the same would be phenomenal.

That is very much needed. From my observation - the more collision objects and effectors you have the less CPU resources are used. In a scenario with default cube and quick smoke CPU utilisation looks fine.
