add a "equal output" to the view node
Its actually a request about an add-one, i guess its fine to post this here.
I hope you will forgive my poor english...
One of my favorite add-ones is the nodeWrangler, and especially the view node.
The view node lets you check your material at any point and is used as a perfect debugger.
Right now the view node is just an emission shader that is able to visualize all the diffrent kinds of input.
My request is to enhance this node and make it able to visualize math output.
Right now when you insert a numerical value, it generates a BW image to visualize the outout, the method is useful but many time its annoying to find the exact number output.
The problem of course is that the output doesnt consist of just one number but a number for each pixel.
I suggest to add another option to the view node - a "numerical view" option. It will generate a checker texture and averge the value of the pixles in each "square", then it will "write" the average color on the square.
I know that this mockup isnt look good but i hope its will explain better my thoughts
what do you think?

Why so few upvotes? This is brilliant! Although it might be hard to implement.
@Simon Storl-Schulke: thanks :) I am not a programer, but i dont think its should be that hard, i mean,i guss it sould be done as i maked it in gimp.
make a way to selcet a table selection, then in each square find the median histogram value.(But i realy dosent know a thing about programing)
If you have image output, you should be able to click the image in the Image editor and see the values under your mouse cursor.
@Jason van Gumster: It's true when you work with simple material/texture.
I mean, i tought about this request after seeing the Mandelbulb tutorial by JonasDichelle there you can see why and in which situation i think it's necessary
@aryeramaty: And with your's methos you must render yours scene(if I understand what you mean)
@aryeramaty: <kbd>Alt</kbd>+click works on background images in the Node Compositor
@Jason van Gumster: i didnt understand what you mean,I want this feature to be a viewport realtime option, maybe this mockup will illustrate this better
@aryeramaty: That helps a lot. Thanks.
