Index attributes for a Text object data

It would be great if integer index attributes was automatically generated for a text object data, both raw splines and filled evaluated mesh points for each letter , word and line . Similar to fields generated by geonode String to Curves (Index of curve instance and Line output).

In many cases it's much preferable to use text as an actual Text object over String to Curves , mainly because of performance issues and the lack of option to expose Font input for node group.

Example of index fields for unfilled text curves: Text_Curves.png

Example of index fields for evaluated text mesh points: Text_evaluated_Mesh.png

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. "String to curves" node already outputs line index and as geometry nodes it outputs every character as instance, meaning each character has its own index already.

Having a way of indexing by each word would be nice but word is kinda problematic to define.

Or are you implying storing string data ?

I'm not talking about Geometry node "String to curves". I'm talking about classic Text object that would generate attributes in it's data, that could be used later in Geometry nodes. Similar to "sharp_face" attribute that is being generated for a Mesh objects.

oh right. sorry for misunderstanding on my part. in that case yes I agree
