It would be really great to see this integrated to Blender!

Even if you can already make a kind of Boolean Custom Property, it would be great to see a real implementation of a Boolean type especially when you want to add keyframes. And having an Enum type would be awesome. It will allow to create more specific functions and more user friendly UI (especially when you want to re-use a CP for a script).

There's no ramp, curve, or double property in Blender. Collection properties are weird and don't really work on objects (they were named before the Collection/layer system IIRC, and so they aren't what the name implies). String, int, and floats already exist-- you just have to add a .0 to make a number a float, or remove the decimals to make it an int. Strings can be entered in place of numbers.

Enum, and vector exist in the Python API, however, and might be nice to have. I'd also like to see pointer properties added to objects, so that I can create associations between two objects that survive re-naming.

Bumping this, specially for a Boolean type property

yes. this would be very handy. not everything should require a script. adding integer properties in particular. when you edit a property a enum defining the property type might be the place in the UI to put it.

seems interesting should be tried tested and then if useful added.
