Starting to love working in layers. Weight painting has always been a struggle for me for a very long time especially in other dcc. It’s a pipeline that I always hear others having to do tricks to avoid the system to auto normalize your weights as you paint. Which is exactly why I hate it. It’s like fighting a water that is spilling in places where I didn’t want just to keep all the weights normalized. Painting in layers had been a recent new workflow that feels good and would love to see it as the new method. Cause it avoids the normalized none sense until the end and allows me to keep a clearer control when painting.
