Improve the Opacity modifier in Grease Pencil with 'full' fade mode.

One way of fading grease pencil objects in and out is to use the Opacity modifier.

I find it is lacking compared to other transparency methods (such as adjusting the opacity value of an individul layer) because it creates an undesirable x-ray effect as the drawing becomes increasingly transparent.

There is a drop down menu in the Opacity modifier (which lists options like stroke, fill, hardness etc.). Can we add a option called 'full' which replicates the effect of an individual layer's opacity being turned up and down.
