optional fbx export without mandatory Armature bone in hierarchy
Right now, when I export a skinned mesh, I get an additional "Armature" bone in the hierarchy. In some cases, this ruins my pipeline, as I get to work a lot with models skinned by other people and have to create alternative versions. These alternative versions have to have exactly(!) the same skeleton. And they do not have any armature bone.
What I propose is a small addition: a toggle in fbx export window to turn on and off the Armature bone. By default it can be "On", as it is the current export behavior.
This thing is already made by a fellow enthusiast and requires only a few small changes in the fbx export plugin. github.com/A-Ribeiro/CustomBlenderFBXExporter And using that would be great if it
- did not break some other plugins due to swapping default exporter
- would be updated frequently
This is a small quality of life update that requires very little, so I hope to see this feature some time soon.
Even if I don't, thank you for your time and for such an amazing software as Blender!

Not just the FBX exporter. All of them. And, probably, must be the default option: Blender just shouldn't export bones that don't exist.
