Vertex Group Parsing / Globs

Hi Developers,

I would like to propose a more efficient way to use parsing of vertex groups.

Current Use case in blender 2.79 : While using modifiers, we can assign only one vertex group per modifier to define which vertices or area of a model is affected by that particular modifier.

Proposed feature and usability:

Ability to mention more than one vertex group in every modifier using a separator ( may be a "+" and a "-" sign? )

For example, if we are using the mask modifier, and we want to hide the both the hands of a character( which are already defined before as hand.L and hand.R) , the user will input "hand.L + hand.R" in the vertexGroup field.

We can also add support for wild Character "* " ,

so, user can simple type hand* and both the groups will be taken as input. Please checked the attached thumbnail for better explaination. I am ready to explain further use-cases and strongly believe that this small feature can make blender more powerfull and less cluttered.

Thanks, Jayraj

this would be nice. not having to duplicate items in your modifier stack and not having to add extra vertex groups to your list (which can already get to be quite a long list for some things)
