Steam overlay for Blender on Steam

Just what the title says. I've tried re-mapping the shortcut keys for Steam overlay to several key-binds but none seem to work.

I can see potential advantages for having Steam overlay work with Blender. Screenshots, broadcasts, workshop, group chat, music and browsing among others.

Not really sure what are the technical difficulties in implementing this.

The devs have likely disabled the steam overlay somehow, because it did "work" in the past. Caveat is, once you turned it on, Blender would lock up and you'd have to kill it. So it's better off with it disabled. Likely related to how Blender doesn't constantly redraw everything like a game does I'd guess.

Either way though, Blender is not a fullscreen program, so all those things you're asking for are easily doable by either alt+tabbing or included in the OS. Winkey+printscreen will save a screenshot (and not compressed by default like Steam's), you should probably be using OBS for broadcasts instead regardless, the workshop isn't tied to the steam overlay, you can alt+tab to your steam group chat or music player but you should probably use an actual dedicated music player instead.

And a few of Blender's shortcuts conflict with Steam's shift+tab, too.
