see the addon, which is a gui wrapper for original texture-synth

further push and comment on this ... !

any guy knows how to migrate their stuff to blender compatible python / c++

awesome texture-synthesis made by EmbarkStudios is opensource, this masterpiece can:

  • Generate similar-looking images from a single example.
  • provide multiple example images and the algorithm will "remix" them into a new image.
  • guide the generation by providing a transformation "FROM"-"TO" in a form of guide maps
  • style transfer(like)
  • fill-in missing information with inpaint
  • make an existing image tile ( !! )

it's right inside armory-paint now (tiled only I think), I could imagine someone can push this to blender compositor nodes (for example...) (other ideas welcome)

see the freaking examples what it is capable of: github.com/EmbarkStudios/texture-synthesis

We had the same idea My Proposal

This looks like a great tool. How would it integrate into blender though?

* @dpdpforlife * a simple node

* @DB3D * Compositor? Shader Editor?

* @dpdpforlife * it may depent on the performance, no one likes to slow down materials/rendering because a texture needs a long time to be calculated, nor do I think we need some "precalculate now"/caching stuff in the material nodes, so if its fast like prodedural textures - it can go along with materials of course, imo
