B3D 2.8 Adjust Median Point&BBC Origins When On Cage Is selected
Right now there seems to be no apparent way to use scale with mirror modifier. The median point and bounding box center origins don't account for the mirror modifier and as such scaling leads to unwanted results. The only way I know personally around this is to: Set cursor to selected- zero the mirror axis of cursor transformation- use cursor as origin. But this gets annoying when you have to keep repeating it.
My suggestion, then, is to modify the behaviour based whether mirror modifier has "On cage" toggled or not (The last visibility toggle) This already makes the vertices appear on the mirror side and highlight, so it would make some sense for them to actually also affect things. So with On Cage toggled median point- and bounding box origins would take into account the selected vertices on the mirrored side too, resulting in scaling happening from the actual center of the object instead of just the mirrored half. For any uses cases where this was unwanted On Cage could then be untoggled (highlighting and verts on mirror side disappear) and the behaviour would be identical to the current way.
P.S. I don't see people complaining about this that much. Do share your ways around this if there are some obvious one click ways to deal with this nuisance.

I generally would like to see an option for modifiers that recalulate the origin for geometry.
