Double Click Selections
Add double click selections to help speed up workflow.
Double Click Edge - Select Edge Loop. Currently implemented as select->edge loop (Alt+Select)
Double Click Poly - Select Connected Polys. Currently implemented as select->select linked (Ctrl-L)

The first proposed change already is in Blender 2.8
There's a plan to implement a more "general" or, if you like, "industry standard" keymap upon release of Blender 2.8. I would like to see this proposal implemented as a keymap.
