Multi select option in UIList

Many custom tools in production require users to be able to select multiple items from a list. Blenders list widget (UIList) only allows you to select one item at a time. It would be great if an option was added to allow multi selection.

An update on this: UIList are on their way to be deprecated and replaced with TreeView . These are in use already for the Spreadsheet editor, Asset Browser, Light Linking in Blender 4.0 and Bone Collections in 4.1.

Tree Views are still not feature complete but the goal is for them to replace UILists once they do. And these will support multi-select.

I was just searching for a way to do tree views: is there any documentation on this? I can't find any reference to "treeview" in the scripting docs..

I don't think they have an API yet. But eventually they will, of course. Like UILists.

This would be immensely useful, as mentioned. Needs more upvotes!

Hi. I have to add my vote. Please Yes. there no treeview for python I think. this would help cleaning, merging, organizing etc. So i go for the checkbox solution for now. All the Best!
