Xform tool is possible using the Hook modifier.
This is more than one idea bundled into a single proposal... and many of them have already been proposed here. Please split up your ideas into separate proposals (after searching to ensure that they haven't already been suggested).
looks like 3dsMax to me, I do miss "THE STACK"
