Transform Panel in Edit Mode - Modeling with value inputs
I'm coming from C4D and there's a little but very powerful feature when it comes to poly modeling which I'd really like to have in Blender as well.
Idea: When selecting points, edges or polygons, the selection's bounding box location, rotation and size should be displayed in the transform panel relative to the bounds of the whole mesh. These values should also be editable because this really helps when it comes to accurate modeling tasks. Let's say you select a polygon and it has dimensions of (0 cm, 150 cm, 150 cm). You could just change the Y size by typing another value like "45,5" into the input field very quickly.
There are some things to consider:
Rotation: This is more or less a temporary value for editing purposes. In C4D the value will be set to 0° after modifing it. So the new applied rotation becomes the new "0°".
Vertex selections: Dimensions will only show up if you have at least 2 points selected.
