Options to Include and Exclude object to and from Lights

There's a very useful feature in Cinema 4D to include or exclude objects to or from a light object, meaning you can choose to affect specific object/s by a light, or you can exclude specific object/s from being affected by the light. In Cycles, however, you need to do it with separate collections, render passes, and compositing nodes. That's way too complicated for a simple function. It would to great to have this feature in cycles and EEVEE Light feature C4D.png

This is light linking, to my knowledge one of most widely asked for features for a long long time. The devs are aware of it, they just haven't figured out the best way to implement it yet; it's been hinted to be a possible addition to Cycles X if they can figure out a good way!

I came to know the term for it just yesterday! The more you know, haha. Let's hope that it gets implemented.

this is exactly what I'm talking about. Thank you! It's a much-needed feature, it's a shame we don't have it in all these years.

We don't have lots of features still... endless shame.
