Batch Rename Default Settings
It's just a QOL improvement, I guess. I don't know about the majority of Blender users, but when I use the batch renamer, I usually want to rename all objects with a completely new name—not just add a suffix or anything else. That's what I do 99% of the time. Currently, the default option is 'search and replace,' which I rarely use. So, it would be great if the default setting were 'rename with a new name.' What do you think?

Have you tried extensions.blender.org/add-ons/simple-renaming-panel/ ?
Yes, I used it for a while, but I stopped when I found out that Blender has a built-in batch renamer. If it could at least keep the last settings, that would be great
I most often use it to Search'n'replace parts or to add pre/suf-fixes.
