Outline Stroke Modifier

Y3.png In 2D animation, strokes are often added, so this is a very commonly used effect.

In fact, Line Art can generate an outline stroke of the mesh model, but Crayon lacks an outline stroke effect on the crayon itself!

This modifier should allow to generate stroke outlines for the same crayon, or a certain layer, a certain channel, a certain vertex group. Perhaps, it could be taken a step further and we could also select a collection (containing several different crayons) to get the stroke outline.

do you mean if would take the drawing and it would automatically add an outline? or a brush setting to make your lines bold? if the ladder then you could just use the size setting for the brush when drawing the outline.

Add an outline. While the modifier you mentioned can do it, he needs to manually select the vertices, which is impossible to go with when drawing animations. Currently you can only add outline effects in post-production software.

Although now that GP supports geometry nodes, it is possible to do outlines using geometry nodes. But I think this outline should be built-in directly.
