Paper Cut: use Material slot instead of material drop-down for dropping

Since some releases, Blender has the option to drop a selected material e.g. in geometry nodes or on another object to assign it. This is great on paper, but the problem is that this feature was for some reason given to the material drop-down menu:

This doesn't look like something that should work, it almost looks like broken behavior, and very unintuitive. Plus, it's prone to error, since many times I opened the menu by clicking on the wrong spot of the icon.

We should be able to do this by using the material slot , not a drop-down menu icon.

I foresee a future conflict once we get draggable material slots, allowing to reorder them by dragging.

IMHO dragging the dropdown if fine, it's the menu where you selected your material and it shows nothing more than your current material until you expand to chose another one, and it's consistent with how the rest of the GUI behaves; e.g. you can also drag images from the image editor to the viewport that way.
