Add E to "extrude" reroute node from a reroute node

I will do an analogy with animation technique : Sometimes, you want to reroute straight ahead and not node to node (or between two existing nodes).

It would be great if we could extrude reroute nodes selected with the E shortcut.

You select a reroute node, you press E and it gives you another one linked to the original already in move mode, so you just move the node where you want and LMB to validate.

I think it could be done in node wrangler add-on.

Have a nice day :)

In fact it would be like having one vertice selected, then press e, positionning, then e, positionning, e,...

lsscpp

so it should be like: pressing E, blender in background creates a reroute, connects from selected output, grabs new reroute node and waits for positioning?

Yes exactly. I am not sure how you can have selected ouput, in my mind it was only selected reroute nodes but yes, that's the idea.

lsscpp

you can actually select an output with Shift+Click. Don't know what is the use, I suspect is some kind of code leftover
