Eevee render on GPU of choice.

It would be nice to have the possibility to render on the secondary, or if one has more than two cards, on the selected card of choice in Eevee. That would free up the card used for the viewport, and for those with a powerful computer, they can continue working on other scenes/things while rendering.

edit: Just want to clarify, that i don't mean working in the same blender, but so that two instances of blender doesn't try to use the same card. One instance renders with the secondary GPU, the other uses the primary GPU for viewport purposes.

This is on the developers' radar as it's especially useful for rendering on a farm. Of course, it's not an easy thing to implement. My understanding is that realtime OpenGL renderers (like Eevee) need to have an OpenGL context to actually render... that context is typically bound to the video card used for display on screen. Pairing that context with a GPU that's not used for display is apparently non-trivial.

AFAIK you can choose rendering GPU in settings.

* @ Vyacheslav * Does it work like that on Eevee too? Have to check that out.. I thought Eevee always rendered on the display used by blenders viewport..?
