Bisect Tool is nice Why not helped with GP ?
Bisect tool is a great potential for 2.8 modelling. My suggestion is to use Grease Pencil not only in sculpt mode but in edit mode to cut through objects lije bisect tool already does now. Why not in object mode too? That is why I did not post any image, this is self explanatory.

Do not assume that your idea is self-explanatory. Include interface mock-ups and workflow images that describes how you would envision the feature working in Blender.
I saw one or two days ago the trimming tool in Pablo Dobarro videos that seems promising....Wow a such tool tool exactly the puropse of this post; CAN'T WAIT !!!
Well, I was just supposing that wherever mode you choose (sculpt, edit, object mode...) by this "simple" D shortcut you could draw a "temporary" (or not) a grease-pencil-note-style stroke , and then OK , and then "C" the result in object or sculpt mode could be two "halves", in edit mode (eventually) two separated parts of the mesh. Sorry for my bad english, and for the lack of mocups completing my idea. I just saw in the comments someone posted something about bezier curves used for the same purpose....Thanks.
