Suggestion or request about the pie menus
I would like the pie menu, when you stop releasing the key, disappear. Do I have to pay someone to do it to me, I think it would be a simple change for developers who already know where things are. In Maya it's usual if you don't press the key, this disappear, they don't stay permanently on screen forcing you to click out, if you really didn't want to press and you did it by mistake. I admit that I don't like them and I don't want to use them simply because of what I'm commenting here, if they had that behavior I would use them with pleasure. And since I see that now blender by default is intensively using the pie menus, please if someone has the knowledge and is able to change it I would be grateful in the soul.

I have managed to implement the desired change by myself, with a little help from bretch in this thread: devtalk.blender.org/t/pie-menu-disable-on-release-key-patch/2237/5
I have proposed that they tell the rest of the team and hopefully we can have an option in user preferences to activate this behavior with a checkbox in the user preferences. It's easy to implement. Now the final decision is the blender team. I don't know if they going to want to include it or not. Greetings.

The first thing I'll do is look at the way to deactivate the pie menu, just for the fact that they are not deactivated when you release the key and it's very uncomfortable, as I see there is no intention to change it.
what do you mean "stop releasing"? you mean stop holding?
I noticed that if your mouse is moving a little while you hold the key, if you release the key while the cursor is inside the circle, it does dissapear. But if you hold the key with the cursor completely still, when you release the key, it remains on screen. Kind of like transitioning from Hold mode to just tap mode. Is this what you mean? Yeah, it would be an improvement. After all, whoever wants to see all the options can just keep holding or made a tap in the first place.
This was hard to notice for me because I use a tablet and my cursor is constantly moving, so the pie menu always dissapears for me
This is already the case. No need to click, just release the key.
@billrey: I have to move the mouse by aiming very carefully not to accidentally activate any option, in order to cancel the pie menu.... Very practical....
