Handy to have angle option like (30,45,90) to make wireframe mesh.

Everything is needed, to add more modifiers starting from Inset Face

wws3d

you can use skin modifier to have better result like that? not perfekt but something simillar or start with wireframe extrude on z axes and then add solidify with complex feature. You wil have the same result.

Yes, square would be awesome. I have needed this way too often.

This is a fantastic idea. The wireframe modifiers is basically useless because you can't do rounded thins like pipes and you also cant do square thing like you showed.

* @augusto.c.felix * You can have a subdiv or a bevel modifier after the skin modifier to achieve a rounded result (works perfectly, I do this all the time when making pipes).

And to achieve rounded corners you can just use a vertex bevel modifier before the skin modifier, I like using vertex weights to get perfect control over how large the bend goes

I already did this suggestion in a post several Blender Today ago, Pablo said that would be an option but nothing else...

the spikes in the actual wireframe output are really ugly and uneven. Unlucky this kind of features about modeling are developed very sparingly.

The main feature missing above all is the inability to access the geometry produced by the modifiers.

* @Mille Porte * Hopefully geometry nodes will soon be able to adress stuff like this
