So this isn't a feature request, but just an advertisement.
@loic.dautry: from what I understand is a feature that has already been developed that is proposed to be released, it is not clear how, and if it would be released in donation among the addons of blender, it would be useful if it were specified ..
I personally do not find it a bad idea that developers take the initiative in this sense, especially for the well-developed small addons I find it a brilliant initiative.
There is an addon that is supposed to be released by the end of the month on Blendermarket that does this (and a lot of other things) - MeshMachine. I have a preview version that doesn't have this feature yet. youtube.com/watch

They are similar but they function really different, and they both allow you to do different things. Yuri addon progress are great so far.
im not against a personnal crowdfunding devlopper pages for certain ideas
