Object modification time organisation

Hello !

I'm currently working on a project wich needs to have multiple versions of an object sometimes of different versions (yeah my workflow has "a few" flaws). But instead of renaming v01-02 and and v01-03 and v02-01_bake for example, I just though : Wouldn't it be amazing to have access to last modification time (sec/min/hour/day) of this object ? It could maybe even be usefull for other things, I guess, maybe ?

Maybe I'm wrong, and it's useless, and I just have to work better (well, of course I do but anyway).

Please tell me your opinion about it. (Not on my work, on my suggestion, you silly :P )
