Taichi - Parallelization Python Extention

Image

Taichi (太极) is a programming language designed for high-performance computer graphics. It is deeply embedded in Python, and its just-in-time compiler offloads compute-intensive tasks to multi-core CPUs and massively parallel GPUs.

Having Taichi as a possible extension to the already in Blender integrated Python language, could give (advanced) Blender users the possibility to easily access the computational power of modern multi core CPUs and GPUs for custom simulations or other task, which could benefit from parallelization.

With the possibility to pipe those results directly into a Blender scene via particle systems, custom mesh data, textures or volumetric data would open the doors to easily prototype special kinds of simulations, while also having an easy and great framework for visualising the generated results.

This should not be a replacement for Everything Nodes or the new Particle System, which are already under development, because these systems are meant for everyone and represent the future of Blender. Taichi on the other hand could be a great solution for giving advanced users, add-on developers and maybe even researchers more power and freedom directly in Blender.

1 thing i like the most is that from 11 downvotes - 9 is multiaccount... like wtf

Yeah there is even already an experimental MPM solver made for Blender with taichi github.com/taichi-dev/taichi_elements
