Is shape draw/cut tool not a priority in 2.90? Hard ops and others are just a new kind of workflow, I prefer blender's more.

Hello guys. I know this feature has been requested a lot already but is there a plan of it coming to blender sooner or is it even in the list? I have not followed the roadmap properly but I hope this would be part of the coming 2.90 update.

No offense to Hardops and other addons but it is just a matter of my personal preference. Some artists might prefer these addons over blender's. Thanks.

If anyone is interested in hardops. This is by far one of the mosy powerful addon for blender. blendermarket.com/products/hardopsofficial

You might want to rewrite this proposal: it makes very little sense to users who aren't familiar with this addon.

* @jeric_synergy * The shape tools not similar to knife tool which only draws lines.

Can you be more specific to what is your request, please? There is already a cut tool and you can access it with K.

johnpdelacruz28 Author

* @zodiac98177 * Those are just lines. What I mean is the draw cut tools for shapes like circle, rectangle, and triangle.

* @johnpdelacruz28 * Basically having Boxcutter's shape cutters integrated into the default knife tool, correct?

johnpdelacruz28 Author

* @zodiac98177 *Yes. Atleast just the cut function. Similar to knife intersect tool. Box cutter has a lot of advanced feature. The addon Gcut in some ways achieve this actions but in my opinion doing it manually is more preferable.

* @johnpdelacruz28 * Well in this case the devs can speak to Masterxeon and the team behind Boxcutter and get some help to achieve a tool like that. In general the modeling tools need more love in my opinion.

Blenderon

What draw tool?

johnpdelacruz28 Author

* @Blenderon * The basic shape cut draw tool.

Blenderon

* @johnpdelacruz28 * Please make images of what exactly do you mean. I don't know any of this tool.

* @Blenderon * blueprint is already coming in blender and it would be nice to be able to draw 2d shapes on surfaces and not only squares.

Blenderon

* @johnpdelacruz28 * What "blueprint" ?

johnpdelacruz28 Author

* @Blenderon * It is a modelling feature coming soon in blender. Try searching bluprints by pablo dobarro.
