Painterly effects on Blender (NPR related)
Please watch this video to enter in context for painterly effects on real time viewport: vimeo.com/274818189
Ok, I got this email where he is mentioning he has released the code as open source here: github.com/semontesdeoca/MNPR/releases/tag/v1.0.2
How possible would it be to implement this on Blender 2.8?

I would absolutely LOVE something like this for Blender!
Commenting to keep track of this.
Yes we need this
I wasn't aware of this. Thanks for the links!
I wanted to post the link but here it is. I would LOOOOOVE to see it in Blender, it would blow out every one of the water.
SOoo the founder of MNPR said they're planning to work with Blender at the end of this year
This is all I want in blender....
Those are some pretty results from that renderer. How would you envision that this be integrated into Blender's UI. Would it be options added to Eevee or would you set this as a complete separate render engine?
What you have now is links to something pretty and some code. But there's not yet anything actionable in your proposal.
@Jason van Gumster: by watching the video, and looking at the code, it´s clear that a programmer can take it from there and adapt it as a special render engine called NPR which is in soo much demand. LANPR could be included in the same NPR engine.
@Jason van Gumster: "on real time viewport" <- mentioned in a single line at the beginning of the post.
@3dcinetv: So a separate render engine, then. Just asking for clarity. Thanks.
@Jason van Gumster: A separate engine designed like the BEER project with LANPR line drawing, watercolour from MNPR, plus cel shading would make Blender an unstoppable NPR render powerhouse. That way, Eevee can focus on realistic.
@kanzwataru: so would your nodes stay in Eevee or would they migrate?
