* If you have the time can you please tell me why it won't work. because I do not see the need of a rotating Gizmo, because when modeling, one would only want to know or chose the right rotation.

That tool's purpose is, among others, showing you in a simple & efficient way how you're looking at your scene. You look a this for half a second and you know everything no matter what you do and how.
If you show only the axis you're looking through, you miss the "roll" of your view.
In result you have to "work" in order to get this info, like keeping track of all your viewport angle modifications, always thinking "okay now I'm in left view so the axe on my left hand is... What is it again ?", or use other infos to get it, such as your scene, which depending your work forces you to move around all the time just to know where you are, or can't tell you anything except up&down it too complex, ...
And at the end of the day, I fail to see any advantage of doing that. It just makes the UI inconsistent, it removes a critical info provider, but for what? Greying out a few pixels of color?
The current gizmo is extremely meaningful without asking much attention, it gives you each axes direction and sense. Even if you're in some crazy rolled view.

Yours in the same situation would tell you're looking from +X to -X and you're rolled, but no idea how you're rolled. The current show everything at a glance without scarifying simplicity and functionality.

That would work only in perspective and wont be intuitive.
