Panoramic rendering for EEVEE & Tiled EEVEE render
I'm aware of a post is allready made in the topic, namely this one: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/ZRbbbc/proposal-panoramic-rendering-for-eevee
I opended a new one becouse I probably have an idea on how to make it happen for real and only a comment in the other post would be lost. I was seeing a friend of mine playing with lumion and it had thisfeature(for equirectangular panorama at least), it was rendering in vertical lines and if I'm correct then there is a minimal raytracing involved, you trace the rays from the camera untill the first collision and then it returns the rasterised color of the object so you probably can map the image just like that and the reason behind rendering in vertical lines is probably becouse of the SSR so you can update the ssr image after each line or so so you get a proper panoramic picture.
and this is the reason why my posts name considering tiled eevee rendering becouse technically you probably have to make this happen in a bucket like feature and optimisations would require not to load all the area into the memory at the same time but render tiles with some over tracing to the other tile in my oppinion then eevee could render more complex scenes on weaker macheanes as well.
