Geo-nodes get/set attrbuite

The following nodes, Attribute Math, Attribute Mix, and Random Attribute, all function at a very high level, which in and of itself is a good thing. However, right now geo-nodes are conspicuously lacking in low-level support.

With the recent addition of Attribute Fill this deficiency has ben half fixed, but the "set attribute" node is still missing its counterpart of "get attribute".

Use cases include complex attribute math and non-linear random distributions.

Knowing very little about this, I would like very much to hear your input on this subject.

Have a very merry Christmas one and all.

I need this right now, how do I get it??

I'm trying to use math to determine an attribute (float) which I can use as the radius for a Curve/Circle.

I was searching for the same node.

Can you describe more clearly what the inputs and outputs of the node you're proposing would be? It's not clear to me, especially since you've only posted a screenshot of the attribute fill node.

This idea doesn't really make sense with the design of geometry nodes. An attribute consists of a value at every vertex (or edge / face, etc). How can potentially hundreds of values become one value with a node?

Consider that the geometry node tree works very differently than the shader node tree. The shader node tree is evaluated potentially millions of times (once at each pixel, etc), but the geometry node tree is only evaluated once per object.

Sorry for the delay.

The geometry output is optional. (see new image)
