Ambient Occlusion Pass negavite space white instead of black
When Rendering an Ambient occlusion pass with an alpha channel, the empty space of the image (or alpha channel) area is black. I propose that this color is changed to solid white instead, since AO passes are usually used to be blended with a multiply operation, this would result in the negative space being invisible when Multiplied rather than destroying your image by creating a solid black void where your alpha channels should be. This would be helpful for VFX and Compositing work without having to try and set the matte of the AO pass to the RGBA channel's alpha, which from my experience causes strange artifacts around the edges of your rendered objects, making the pass very hard to use and I end up skipping them all together, which is a shame because they really sell the realism of a render.

Definitely. The #1 use case of an AO pass requires the background to be white, so it's always confused me why it's black.
can't you give it a try and save our world :-D ?
Would be nice as an option
it has been one year on this proposal ! why it is not executed till now?
